Driving Directions
From the western suburbs
Take 494 east to 52 south. Take Highway 52 south to Highway 50 at Hampton. Go east on 50 at Hampton. Highway 50 becomes Highway 61 south. Continue on 61 south to Goodhue County Road 7 (Welch Village Road). Turn right on County Road 7 and take it three miles south to Welch Village.
From St. Paul and the north suburbs
Take 694 east to 61 south. Take 61 south to Hastings. On the southern end of Hastings, take 316 south. 316 south ends at Highway 61. Go south (left) on Highway 61 to Goodhue County Road 7 (Welch Village Road). Turn right on County Road 7 and take it three miles south to Welch Village.
From Rochester and southeast Minnesota
Take Highway 52 north past Zumbrota to Goodhue County Road 7 (Welch Village Road). Turn north (right) on County Road 7 and follow the Welch Village Road signs through Vasa to the resort.
From Iowa and southern Minnesota
Take I-35 north to Highway 19 east. Continue through Northfield and Cannon Falls to Vasa. At Vasa, go north on Goodhue County Road 7 and go five miles to Welch Village.
Parking
Parking is free. There is one main parking lot by the Main Chalet and a small parking lot by the East Chalet (Jaxx) that is open when Jaxx is open. The overflow lot is located across the highway from the main lot. Handicap parking is available at the main lot.
Campers, buses and trailers are not allowed in our parking lots at any time. Buses are permitted only for pre-arranged groups such as ski clubs, schools, roving ski schools and race teams. No carry-on alcohol is permitted anywhere on the property, including the parking areas.
