Chalet Services

Three buildings serve the hill: the Main Chalet for food, tickets, rentals and tuning, Jaxx on the east side for adults, and the Skilink Learning Center where every lesson starts.

Main Chalet

33,000 sq ft

Designed for families, groups and young adults. The 6,000 sq ft expansion finished in 2003 added a food service area and additional restrooms. Holds the ticket windows, the rental shop, the Tuning Center, the ski shop, Nelson Brothers Bar, lockers and cubby areas.

Jaxx (East Chalet)

2,400 sq ft

On the east side of the resort and geared toward adults. A full bar, food service and a festive atmosphere make it a favorite. Live music runs here on scheduled weekends. See the music schedule.

Skilink Learning Center

6,000 sq ft

Home to 150 ski and snowboard instructors, delivering over 13,000 lessons a year to all ages and ability levels. Children and school programs, freestyle teaching, racing, advanced instruction and women-specific programs. See lessons.

Food & Beverage

Food service hours are shorter than lift hours and vary by day. See today’s hours before you plan lunch. All food and beverage operations are cashless.

Chalet Policies

Bags, boots, coolers and containers cannot be stored at or around seating while you are on the hill. Use a seasonal locker, a paid daily locker, or the cubby areas on the first and second floors.
Carry-on food is allowed in designated areas only, and should be kept to a minimum Friday through Sunday and during holiday hours.
Crock pots, hot plates and electric coffee pots are not allowed under fire code. Group food and snack tables are never allowed.
There is a 30 minute table limit on weekends and during holiday hours, and reserving or guarding a table for more than 30 minutes is not allowed.
No carry-on alcoholic beverages anywhere on Welch Village property, per Minnesota Statute 340A.512.
